actually i was really worried for awhile that METALVERSE would turn out to be web 3.0 bullshit as well, and while METALVERSE has been used to promote NFTs (sigh) I'm glad they ended up just being their own group, as some speculated it would be a metaverse thing

Unfortunately it's not new, they've had several NFT things (card packs a couple years ago, the one membership is an NFT thing now)
