I joked when I bought my professional cello after a few years of lessons that it was a good thing I set a budget of $5,000. That way I only spent $10,000.
You just have to train your phone!
My mama would be so proud! βΊοΈ
God, I adore her!
Oh, yay!
I tended to be one of those cautious Democrats β You know, improve rather than abolish. The last 2 years convinced me we need major changes in law and the Constitution, abolishment of ICE, and total expansion and restructuring of The Supreme Court. Look what they did to me!
By the way, love the train video! I love my desert here in Nevada, but it's so lovely to see the green of England roll by!
Oh, Darren, I am so happy! This calls for a celebratory... um... whatever you're allowed to eat after this diagnosis. I suppose even Brek plain porridge can be a party after feeling poorly. It's always better to know what's going on than wonder and worry, isn't it? π€π©Ήβ€οΈβπ©Ή π ππ
I know, right? It's like, "Well, I think I have arrived!"
π₯Ί I'm so sorry, Rebecca. I doubt you're being overly dramatic (Am I detecting the British stiff upper lip thing?) Whatever's going on, I'm glad you have your loved ones around you. β€οΈβπ©Ήπ«Άπ»
The White House showed up on Bluesky a bit ago. When I heard about it, I went there to block it, only to find I was pre-blocked by them. I didn't feel hurt, I felt seen! ππ«‘π
It sounds lovely! The tea budget is expended for now, but I've put it on my "Saved for Later" list on Amazon.
It is delicious. Perfect for today when it's unseasonably cold.
A picture where in the foreground is a scoop with a wooden handle and a copper bowl. It is a single teaspoon to be used for measuring out loose tea. In the background is a tea kettle which is stainless steel with copper accents and a black handle.
One small tea purchase I forgot to share was I bought a dedicated teaspoon measure. It didn't cost much, and the copper accent matches my kettle, so why not?
We both survived, didn't we?
You know, this is exactly how Verdi began!
I'm so glad!
Oh, I forgot to include in the Alt-text in the center is a large stainless steel infuser for when you're brewing a whole pot.

A picture of new tea things. From left to right, Taylor's afternoon Darjeeling leaf tea, horny and sons Hot Cinnamon Spice black tea, and a nice little cream pitcher and sugar bowl.
Well, the last major tea purchases have arrived!
The only other things to come are two loose leaf teas that are decaf because sometimes it's nice to have a cup in the evening.
I'm both ready for my own quality tea, but also to have visitors over.
Medical tools from the Revolutionary War I am passing off as tea tools because I am hilarious.
Wait, I have just ordered a complete tea tool set from Amazon!
That is begging the question, why are you knifing your tea?
So do I. I was raised in the Church of Christ and my dad was the preacher. Far more conservative than Baptists. Rough on a confused gay kid. I survived. When I'm asked why I became Episcopalian I say, "Well, it was pretty much a defensive move."
Omigosh, he looks like he just saw... a Baptist!
There are tea needles too?! So many accoutrements!
Wait... there's a such a thing as a tea knife? Do I need one.
I didn't do well in chemistry.
I will be watching the Special Ballot Measure in Virginia tonight! If it succeeds, it will not only undo Trumps attempt to gerrymander his way into a permanent majority, it will tip the national board to Democrats. He started this in Texas, but we're going to finish it.
Oh no, even more delightful! π
