Skerne Woods Census no 5 - 6 Blackcap, 3 Willow Warbler, 5 Chiffs, Kestrel pair in box, 2 Bullfinch, Treecreeper, Mistle Thrush, 3 Coal Tit, good nos of Linnet. Rookery very active too - 24 nests. Still no Buzzard, Tree Sparrow or Wagtails. Thought might get Whitethroat but no!

Census no 3 @ Skerne Woods & v cold 🥶 Good nos of Robins singing & territorial fights, Jackdaw in Pine Wood, Mallard at Pond, Kestrel, Bullfinch, Stock Dove in box, Rooks doing well above bike track & Blackcap & Chiffs. Nice Linnet colony developing - flock of 16 bounding about & singing.

1st Census of the yr @ Skerne Woods. Bit foggy & cool but Chiff, Tree Sparrow, Bullfinch, f Kestrel, Reed Bunt, Goldcrest, Siskin, Redpoll, 8 Dunnock, 7 Chaffinch, Redwing, Greenfinch, 14 Robins, 14 Wren, & 25 Rook nests. V small nest found - Dunnock? Salters Lane Wood like moonscape!

Fabulous few hours on Nland coast - big skies & superb scenery. Decent birds too - 1,000s of Brent, Barnacle & Wigeon, good selection of waders inc Grey Plov & Bar Tail, Scoter, Auks, RB Merg & Perg & best of all breeding plumage GN Diver.
