Personally I don’t like partition—I prefer one democratic state with right of return for descendants of Palestinian refugees—but again, it’s not up to me.

I don’t know what is possible and it’s not really my place to say beyond: equal political and social rights for all is nonnegotiable. I would prefer if no one had to move AND people could get back what was taken from them. I don’t know if those things are simultaneously possible.

I’m not sure they’re saying it worked on them, but I do see where one might get that feeling here. I think it’s working on a lot of people, but usually they can’t diagnose themselves quite this well.

Funny to think people who are to the left of 90% of the country are “centrists.” Our disagreement wasn’t about ideology. It was about acknowledging the state of the world as it is and taking responsibility for making it better, versus a desire to feel morally superior and keep one’s hands clean.
