From your post to JB’s ears.

Even if this turns out to be a loss, this team has earned our admiration. You just gotta love what we’re seeing.
It’d be funny if this was like a passive aggressive response to OKC sitting everyone in Detroit.
It was a big disappointment when we bought tickets to OKC at LCA and they sat almost all of their starters. It’s like load management roulette with buying a ticket.
Wemby reminds me of how dominant Kareem was in 70s. Actually more when you factor in the shooting. Maybe hire Dave Cowens again and ask him: “How do you defend a guy who is half a foot taller than you?”
JB
JD needs to rest his voice: he keeps speaking or whispering through this, he’ll risk permanent damage.
Bought tickets months ago - the only one this year to see - really disappointing. Got to see a great game from Cade and Duren though.
He needs a better nickname than Kelser’s “Hustle-Man”. “Dunkinville” (after his hometown) “Double Dutch”, “Ronald McHustle” . I don’t know, something else.
Things have changed from the 90s. The Pistons hatred was deep then.
Just glad Holland wasn’t there
Boston has me worried; we barely beat them against-2/3 of a center? Hahaha, and Vucevic has routinely torched us the past 3 or 4 years. Stewart and Duren have gotten better at guarding Centers who can shoot the three, but … man, if Tatum comes back, we’re in trouble.
What is it they say about stocks: “Past Performance does not guarantee future results.” Did Houston figure something out that other teams are copying?
If stretches like that become the norm for him …lookout
You will always put Garza down hahaha.
You were very perceptive about Stewart’s abilities back during the losing years. We are witnessing his importance tonight. Flexible defender. The soul of the team.
Oooh, this is not good, not good at all. I hope we don’t see the 3rd quarter of the Heat game on replay against the Cavs and Knicks.
Kind of shocked about the Charlie Brown Christmas special hahaha. Need to watch for Vince Guaraldi’s piano soundtrack.
Is there some, I don’t know, spacing or pacing issue when Ivey and Cade are on the floor together? Watching from home, the offensive flow stops. The 1st quarter stretch was brutal. The 4th quarter when Ivey was with the subs was great.
Is it unfair to say he upsets their offensive and defensive flow, that he is mistake prone?
Lots of issues tonight: Cade and Duren looked disengaged. Stewart loses temper: this never turns out well. Holland and Ausar missed a lot of 3’s. Rotation seems chaotic.
Lackadaisical
And by “this “ - I don’t mean this post, I mean the “dawg” mantra of the players in post-game interviews.
I hope the NBA doesn’t take this and make this a label for the team. It diminishes the skills and talent they have. Yes, they’re tough, resilient, and play hard but Cade is one of the most cerebral players ever.
Getting dominated on both ends from the start by a team that didn’t make 40 wins.
Very cool discussion. Thanks! If O1 watched Flint Basketball, would love it if he would be asked who the best HS player he ever saw was. This was sort of like when Bill Simmons has his Dad on - which are his best podcasts.
I know you said not to overreact to the summer league, but it’s impossible not to get very hopeful after the performance that Holland had.
If they are EV re20 mics at “home” - they resemble them - his might benefit from a preamp that Sweetwater sells specifically for that mic. Or just go with those simpler mics you had today! You’ll figure it out.
Took care of the sound level issue: thanks!
You might want to listen to it on YouTube- Omari’s mic level is so much lower in every show. Enjoyed the discussion though!
