Keep reading, pal. It didn't originate as the medical charm. Our oldest artifact of it was that charm, but it had older origins and etymology.
Crazy you came from out of nowhere with no name or profile to single out the one post I made today involving Judaism and trying to romanize it's history.
Even fuller context 😤

Wait. So "abracadabra" is Jewish in origin meaning "I create as I speak" and JK turned it into the curse that destroys everything?
So many dogwhistles in the book, you get tinnitus from seeing a cover.
Imagine hating him. Could never be me.
Slick. Silly. Smiley.
My latest version of this is in Pokémon Champions, I'm having fun with on of my all-time favourite Pokémon designs, Mr Rime.
This silly bastard is my doubles mainstay now and I mostly use Ally Switch to play shell games with my opponent.
They hate it. I laugh. Results other than that don't matter.
In any game I play, I find joy in creating a little sub-game for me. In time, that becomes the whole game for me. For better or for worse. For example in TF2, I use a counter on my medic melee to count every time I destroy buildings.
Which is not a good or smart idea, but it is fun for me.
This is quite possible one of the best pictures posted to this website.
Sometimes, it's worth logging on.
HEY. THIS PICTURE RULES. YOU DID A REALLY GOOD JOB MAKING THIS HAPPEN. THANK YOU.

The Columbine massacre was on this date in 1999. Instead of energizing our country to get gun violence under control, it kicked off a new normal. One of the best explanations ever of journalism's destructive impact on mass shootings came from Roger Ebert in his review of Gus Van Sant’s “Elephant.”
A drawing of the artist walking around with a silly smile, while a carabiner holding keys, connected to her pants, is making loud CLINK CLANK CLONK sound. Above her is a thought bubble with a robot bearing the caption "Lesbotron 3000", also making loud CLINK CLANK CLONK sounds.
happy lesbian week
Wanted to show you this post in English because it’s so good and we truly are a global village
everyone enjoying tomodachi life should at least take a swing at making a comic strip

Hey folks! In less than 30 mins, Moonshot Network is doing an audio drama performance (with visual elements) of Jon Bois' incredible sci fi/comedy/drama 17776. It's one of the all-time greatest science fiction stories ever, and I am in it with lots of other cool voiceover/podcast people as well!
Breaking: HHS’s ban on gender-affirming care is struck down. Rarely have I read a ruling this sharply worded.
“This case is one of a long list of examples of how a leader’s wanton disregard for the rule of law causes very real harm to very real people.”

tbh anybody who's worked on an old PC game and owns the rights to the source code should just release it into the wild, if you don't have any other plans for it. Maybe now it seems like nobody cares about it but I promise you there will be someone who does.
Just started on this and loving it!
(thanks @raiganburns.bsky.social for the rec)
The "hint menu" (that term doesn't do it justice) is so good and totally sold me on the whole experience. I love when devs integrate thoughtful commentary into the core experience.

I like my job! I just hate the people in my department!
So tell me why I was mad about this thought, still saw the weather alert was bad, and said "I'll cover if the rest of you guys wanna duck out early to 'beat the storm'"
It's crazy that my coworker get to destroy my work (years of files and notes) and when I go to fix it, find a whole bunch of errors, and they can just say "well, I've been doing it wrong the entire time. You never corrected me so it's not my fault."
And my boss goes "hm. Yeah. Makes sense."
