Today the WWE Network went offline in the final territories it was still active in and it perfectly encapsulates what’s happened to streaming.

Touch controls can be fiddly but I have fat fingers. Maybe I’ll hook up a controller.

I’ve been playing #TheDivisionResurgence the past few days and I’ve got to say it’s pretty decent! (Confession: I love The Division games)

I’m glad they differentiate between teasers and trailers because I will go out of my way to avoid trailers. I forced @ednights.bsky.social to read Project Hail Mary because I saw they spoiled a massive twist in the first movie trailer for it. Luckily I’d read the book at that point.

It’s the same on TikTok. Any video over 30s and they’ll start it with a clip of the main moment.

I know it’s how you get people watching and helps the algorithm but let me be a grumpy old man shaking his fist at the world.

I really wish Netflix would stop summarising the entirety of a documentary in the first 3 minutes before the title card.

I get that people have mushy brain attention spans these days but what’s the point in watching when they do that?

A good documentary has great storytelling. Netflix docs do not.
