Just finished doing a reread of Witch Hat Atelier and I love it even more than before.
It's easy to miss stuff and forget things when there are long gaps between volumes, but reading it all together really makes the plotting shine.

A movie couple that would definitely have a podcast.
A chapter illustration from Witch Hat Atelier showing Coco awake and hugging a cushion, while the other three apprentices sleep behind her.
An illustration from Witch Hat Atelier showing Tetia blindfolded, framed by flowers.
A chapter illustration from Eniale & Dewiela, showing Dewiela with a small figure of Eniale perched on her hand. Small demons and an angel are arranged around her as well.
A page from Eniale & Dewiela, showing the titular characters in various outfits and talking about their love of fashion.
The manga's so good! Shirahama's art is amazing.
I also like her other series, Eniale & Dewiela, which is a wildly different tone and is basically Good Omens, but they're women and there's no plot except stupid shenanigans. (And only 3 volumes.)
There's a bit in this Philosophy Tube video where she talks about women who joined the BUF for the opportunity to be the ones doing the oppressing.
Notably, some were former Suffragettes, which is interesting considering how often TERFs like to bring them up.

Alaira is here!! π
I have a burning desire to go here and try to find the spot in the house where you can see the most clocks at once.
a hairless rat next to a tiny rainbow colored xylophone. The caption reads "Neil banging out the tunes, April 13, 2006"
Happy 20 years to Neil banging out the tunes π

TTRPG about me!
First game - Spirit of the Century (FATE 3e)
Last game - Gallow's Corner
Longest game - D&D 5e
Favourite game - Perils & Princesses
Favourite mechanics - Capers
Favourite art - DIE
(The last two could easily be P&P as well, but I wanted some variety)
Thank you, random YouTube notification, for pointing me to the livestream for Ecca Vandal's set at Coachella.
I'm addicted to her right now. Her new album is shaping up to be *so* good.

A picrew of my barbarian, Winn Swan. She has tan skin, black hair (shaved on one side), a red top, and three claw mark scars down one side of her face.
How could I not? She's my Path of the Beast barbarian who thinks she's a druid and that her rage is just her being bad at wildshape (she had an unfortunate encounter with a werebear during her druid training).
Going to actually be a player in a D&D game next week - for the first time in ages!
So I'm going to play my new character, right?
Well, I was, but I decided I needed a backup in case the DM only wants 2014 stuff.
Then I fell in love with the old character again and just want to play her. π
I don't think any moment in cinema has stayed with me as much as this ridiculous death in Alien vs. Ninja (2010).
cw for decapitation and ridiculous fake gore

An ad for a t-shirt saying "autism" in flaming text with a skeleton wielding two guns beneath it.
Fuck tracking cookies, etc, but I can't help but feel I'm doing something right if this is what they're targeting me with ...
A stack of books with a teacup on top. Dungeon People vol 6 by Sui Hutami Only You Can Save Mankind by Terry Pratchett Lucky Day by Chuck Tingle Empire of the Sum by Keith Houston The Tale of One Bad Rat by Bryan Talbot
Just a small stack of books read in March (with a teacup taking up space in the pic because that's what was on the shelf), but three whole actual books!
AI evangelists must stink.
Because if you need it to "brainstorm and generate ideas", you're obviously not taking enough showers.
A lovely picture of some rose, raspberry, and coconut fools. You can find the recipe here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/rose_raspberry_and_51644
April fools!
A paragraph from the Author's Note at the beginning of the 2004 edition of Only You Can Save Mankind by Terry Pratchett. "But maybe there are one or two things I should point out. Only You Can Save Mankind was written during the Gulf War - not the one we've just had, which was the sequel, but the one more than ten years ago. I hope no one intends to make it a trilogy."
What a time to pick up a book and read this in the author's note. π«
Stop scrolling & post two characters who bring you happiness.
I've (currently) got one from a living writer, but considering the character it's copied from is a trans lesbian, I should at least be safe from *that* specific problem.
Me: Hi, Brain. What random snippet of music have you got stuck in you this week?
My Brain: Ah, it's the Beatles classic, "Penny Lane".
My Brain: π΅πΆπ΅
Me: ... that is absolutely the theme to "Penny Crayon" with the wrong lyrics.
A parody of the Dune poster made using the generator that's going around. It reads "VAST - Visual Audio Sensory Theater" because the Dune butthole looks like the iris on the cover of that album.
This is a very niche reference.
Continuously thinking about how much of the AI push is companies deathly afraid that customers might ever stop uisng their services at any point.

Wow! One of my favourite bands is putting out their first album in over 20 years! π
Hmmm, the first track they've released is kinda mid π«€
... and the video for it includes a bunch of AI slop π
I'm pretty sure @ava.foxfort.net has run some and may be able to offer advice.
Another thing on the list of reasons I hope I find a new job soon, is that the new War On Women album is shaping up to be great and I need to be able to buy it ...
