This Sunday, we're taking inspiration from the horse in the book “The Fishermen, the Horse, and the Sea” by Barbara Joosse. The horse that shows up when someone cries out for help. The kids will design t-shirts for the children served by DAIS (Domestic Abuse Intervention Services). #madisonwi

This Sunday in Youth Ed, we’ll discuss screentime with the kids—the good, the bad, and inspiring alternatives—and decorate "phone boxes" with affirmations and items the kids can glue on. These boxes, meant to keep devices out of sight, will be part of a fundraiser for the youth group.
If Devil’s Lake is in your summer plans, we have a fun activity scheduled for this Sunday! Kids will learn the story that explains its jagged edges, then recreate the story in a poster together. It’ll be an educational and spiritual Sunday.
If this sounds like a Sunday School lesson your child would enjoy, please stop by! If you have questions or would like a tour first, contact Kate, our Youth & Family Ministry Coordinator, at youthed@unityofmadison.org.
The kids will explore these stories, then make a poster to hang at Unity, sharing what they learned. Many in our Unity Community cherish Spirit/Devil's Lake, describing a shared sense of peace when visiting, and donated vacation photos for this lesson!
Sunday, April 27, the Unity Kids will learn about Devil's/Spirit Lake! Native Americans have shared tales about its jagged rocks and why it was originally called "Spirit Lake." These stories share a respect for nature, interconnectedness, and a divine presence in the natural world.
Unity Church and Buddhism hold similar beliefs, one of which is Metta, which translates to "loving-kindness" or "benevolence." It's a foundational concept, often regarded as an unconditional and universal love that extends to all beings without discrimination.
Unity Kids will be getting their Sunday school lesson outside--giving free lemonade, putting love into the world without asking for anything in return. Come anytime from 10-11:30 AM every third Sunday in June, July, and August. #madisonwi #mononawi #madisonfamilies #unitychurch
Mary Magdalene is central to the Easter story; yet, her powerful voice has been silenced through the centuries. Mary accompanied Jesus during his darkest moments and her example is one of holy and steadfast love. Her invitation is this: Let [love] give you what you will need for this journey.
