I spent 2 months learning about quantization and am extremely proud of the post I've written about it. I think these are some of the nicest visuals I've ever made, and I love how this compression technique invented in 1898 is being used on the bleeding edge in 2026.

important if you use Vercel for web projects
they've updated their ToS to allow using your data to train AI models, and free plans are opted in to that by default
you can opt out under Settings > General > Data Preferences
Yesterday was my last day at Deno.
From today, I'll be cheering the talented team on from outside the org.

DOOM fully rendered in CSS. Every surface is a <div> that has a background image, with a clipping path with 3D transforms applied. Of course CSS does not have a movable camera, so we rotate and translate the scene around the user.

I have taken many an afternoon nap these past few days.
Yeah, good call. I tapered off from a couple cups to one cup, now zero, but I'm sleepier than I expected to be. I didn't realize how much caffeine was just keeping me at a baseline of alertness.
I've gradually reduced down to one cup and now I'm on 0. I'm thinking that green tea might be a good 0.5 cup compromise right about now.
Yeah I don't know if this is a long term thing for me, but I figured before I ask my prescriber for anxiety meds, I should stop taking the substance I know isn't helping my anxiety lol.
I might come back if this doesn't change much.
Yeah that's a good call, I should go for a walk just to get the blood pumping.
I'm lifting, but I think more cardio could do me good.
I wrote about some things I'm struggling with in the technology industry, preceded by an appreciation for folk music.

Ah yes, Sunday anxiety. Can't relax because I should be doing chores. Can't do chores because I should be relaxing. So I'll do neither until Monday comes.
