My main concern about Trump’s transactional, international showboating-for-national-applause is the fact that he destroys the basis of trust in diplomacy. It will take at least a generation to build that again. In the mean time, the people in Ukr, EU, IL, Gaza and beyond will pay.

Op X noemde iemand Faber “de grootste schandvlek van de politiek”. Maar Faber is niet de grootste schandvlek. Hooguit het onbedoelde remspoor in de broek die we al veel te lang dragen. De grootste schandvlek is het feit dat we ooit eenmanszaak-Wilders hebben toegelaten tot het partijenstelsel.
