Ghost Hunter Simulator was not one of them.
But you can help that by buying our game. @prime8.games
I'd like to announce I have a new(ish) Podcast! It's called GameDev Unsung Heroes, and it's basically interviewing all the names in games you don't know about what they do, their career path, a few stories along the way. All free.
Here's the link gamedevunsungheroes.com
I could use re-posting :)
A badge with a she/her ribbon and a second ribbon that says "compiling shaders".
I've already been given the coolest badge flag. XD
An almost 50 year old cis white dude in glasses in front of a cabinet of toys and memorabilia from various IPs. He has a repaired bilateral cleft lip and short hair, and is wearing a blue tshirt.
So, here’s another #WhatAGameDevLooksLike. I’m Kurtis McCathern. Engineer. Currently at Magic Soup Games. Formerly on World of Warcraft. Your surrogate dad if needed. Everybody can make games.
OMG YAAAASSSS
The Horror class was really cool and focused on horror movies that support feminism. If anyone is interested in the subject, I highly recommend 'The Monstrous-Feminine' by Barbara Creed (which was our text book for this class, but also a great read)
Never mind the jobs you had, tell me five classes you took in college:
1. Horror Cinema Studies
2. Advanced Cinematography
3. Directing Actors for Film
4. Social Impact of Television and Mass Market Media
5. Sound Design for Film
6. (Not college, but neat) Maquette Sculpture at ILM
Absolutely! I'll reach out on DM.
He is a true master at comfort!
Thor the dog in his big gray bed with his paws in the air
I hope you find yourself as comfortable as Thor is this evening.
Kim is live right now!
My laptop is booting up with a "Something has gone terribly wrong" message
Well that's a yikes!
Jellyfin is glorious. It makes things really easy. Install is a pretty standard terminal flow. Once it is installed, it has a pretty great dashboard where you can set things up. Super easy to setup multiple users with their own watch history and everything. Happy to answer any questions 😁
Oooh! This is exciting!
Yeah, I would love to continue using the Google speakers we've got - we've got 3 of the big speakers for music and one of the big hub devices with a screen in the kitchen. That being said, I do have several raspberry pis sitting around going unused...
Solid contender for sure. I've learned to count to 3 *after* the light turns green, then checking left and right, before finally going. The red light runners going 80 down main streets is unreal - but also frighteningly common!
So... how would an interested party go about leveraging your small home assistant to replace their own Google Home setup? We've been wanting to ditch the Google stuff for a while now, but we can't go back to operating our lights with light switches like cave men!
This is a cover image for the Frostfall Winter Event from Cloudeim, with presents, snow, and their new character, Hango!
❄️FROSTFALL BEGINS❄️
The portal to Frostfall Castle has opened on Odin Shell! Explore a forgotten castle to find legendary weapons, new ore, and face a looming boss in this wintry realm.
Also, there are lots of presents, new character, and tons of other goodies to check out.
Nope, sure haven't. Samsung's last couple of forced updates have all been AI forward too. I am pretty solidly in Linux land for PC usage though, and that's been real nice.
I've been having a blast with Airbending with Doc Aurlock. It's ***such*** a blue/white dream come true (even if it's got green in it too. Get it going and I'm just gonna keep bouncing stuff until you concede. 😄
I also have a lot of fun playing my pure red Firebending deck.
Shrine bullshit gonna shrine bullshit. Can't complain too much though, I've been enjoying the hell out of my Airbend bullshit deck lately 😁
This is apparently the most "woke" font.
We also use it in Ghost Hunter Simulator, in case you wanted a hint at what kind of game it is. XD

So much Taylor that she invaded *my* top 5 too!
In July 2024 I decided to accept a job offer from a tiny indie company. A large part of that decision was based on meeting David Hunt. Here's his post on our game.

My wife brought lots of wonderful color into my life, but I think I will always love beige food.
