It's second on my list of Target books I'd like them to redo. Imagine not only restoring Amelia Ducat's scenes but expanding them.
Also - Harrison Chase's whole operation is a Torchwood side project. See the Queen Vic starue in the garden!

I'm listening to Clannad today. All day. No phonecalls!
Sleep well, Moya x
We're repeating an ep of the Dr Who Lit podcast this week in advance of our Master Plan mini series. John Peel joined Jason to discuss Dalek Invasion of Earth. Also, a while back, I did a set of Target-style illustrations for the story.

Aliens of London by @josephlidster.bsky.social makes me so glad the Target range was resurrected. It also ALMOST makes me wish I was doing full reviews on my blog of the modern episodes.
Perhaps I will, if they ever announce a plan to do every story.
Or that nasty brown they used on Curse of Peladon. I hope we see a return to the multicoloured years like Carnival of Monsters or Sunmakers :-)
Folk, I did not repost that thing about someone's account being deleted. Watch out, it's an elaborate bot!
Apologies if anyone interacted with it. Just undo anything you did.
Specifically set in July though. I was thinking Android Invasion but came across the same issue. Almost as if they want to show off "look, we had good weather that week!" and put it in as a plot point.
Aw that's sad about Tom Georgeson. I'd seen him in Genesis and Logopolis but I was too young for Black Stuff. He first registered with me as the patient, ever threatening copper Isaiah in Scully.
Saw Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die tonight. Knew nothing in advance.
Loved it.
That is the end of my film report
Apologies to anyone who subscribes to my Target books blog. I've been adding my animations / songs for the Dr Who Lit podcast, unaware that the blog would automatically send out update emails.
If you want to see all of the updates, have a look here:

Yep. I was honestly bored. I appreciate Sinners isn't for everyone but it had me gripped to the very last frame.
Yeah I'm sulking for Sinners, but OBaA is just a white saviour story that allows Hollywood to be overtly racist and feel good about it. Sean Penn wins an oscar, Teyana Taylor loses out to Amy Madigan (for "bravely" playing old and ugly). Benicio Del Toro shouldn't even have been nominated.
One Battle After Another is a further example of Hollywood rewarding the film that will be forgotten.
Does anyone really think of Ordinary People or even Dances With Wolves any more?
I can provide an alibi....
Friend of the Dr Who Literature Podcast @ianzpotter.bsky.social sent us a pun-tastic song a while back. Now, see my new animation and a glimpse into what The Nightmare Fair might have looked like:

A middle-aged woman smiling.
Watched a 1976 ep of Shadows last night, Dark Encounter. Spent the whole thing trying to remember where I'd seen this actress before. Perhaps if her hotel had served blue milk I'd have recognised her sooner ..
Damn typo. It works if you say the word in Spanish, I suppose. Get the "j" in an authentic Scouse accent :-)
Evojes the first video of every Liverpool band from 1978-1986.
Damn context getting in the way haha
Also notable for er... Karl Howman's bum!
Doctor Who Literature takes it back to 1965... LONDON, 1965!... with @jeffgoddard.bsky.social bringing the real good stuff as we spend an hour kvelling over the William Hartnell era. @monstermaker.bsky.social brings our new theme tune and musical comedy.

I love that, if he goes for an easy target, he throws the joke away. "Everyone else says that, but it's not true - as my Aunty Beryl said when they found her with 15 cases of stolen shampoo hidden in her shed".

If you like The Beatles, Doctor Who, impressions and early attempts at animation, keep an eye on the Doctor Who Literature Podcast YouTube account on Wednesday morning....
DWLit returns (a week late) with incredible contributions from @hairofthehound.bsky.social, Ian Potter, and @monstermaker.bsky.social, as we discuss the recent Gallifrey One convention, hear a song held over from The Nightmare Fair, and dig deep into Mindwarp and... The Muppet Show.
I had such an extreme "Ohhhh" moment about five mins before the end. Love that the story says "I've told you everything you need to know".
Last night's film was The Life of Chuck (2014). I knew nothing about it in advance, except the director and who wrote the novel.
Left me sobbing for half an hour because I'd been preparing myself for a scary twist but it was just very kind. Up there with Shawshank and Stand by Me. Perfect.
My guess is Bonnie & Clyde by Georgie Fame:

Good point..I mean Sanders, don't I?
Obviously it's Clive Dunn for Todd ;-)
