RV Falcon Spirit is our 14 metre catamaran. It is used extensively for oceanographic and biological sampling as well as hydrographic survey. To support this, it has lifting capability via the stern A-frame, a variety of mounting points for survey equipment, and both dry and wet laboratory spaces.

Last week the Marine Station hosted a visit from students from Duchy College, Cornwall who were studying aquatics as part of their second year diploma studies. They enjoyed time at sea in Plymouth Sound on Wavedancer and working in the labs. @plymuni.bsky.social
