Thinking about it, it would be interesting to have a script that runs every week to see how the number changes over time.

I've seen many great opportunities here in the SF bay area. When we were buying back in 2018 it was so depressing.
Are you saying this would be an indicator or it currently is chocked with great opportunities?
Having grown up in the south I think this is probably ture.
This is one point where you and I disagree. But I really like bugs!
Some niche bullshit? Come on, lets be real. It's gonna be inconsiderate yankees. You know that right :)
I'll be honest, when I'm using LLMs I always say please and thank you. Not because I think they are people or alive, but because I recognize that these are good habits and I want to keep them.
This is pretty common in California (at least where I live).
Yeah, that's why I said it was also working against you.
I cannot comment on this but I think another thing working against Robin is reciprocal agreements (I'm not sure if this is the correct word). My understanding is that states (like CA) have agreements with other states (like WA) that lets students in CA to get instate tuition in WA (for example).
Looks like a hermit crab and a bedbug had a kid.
Living through COVID really cured me of this. I no longer overestimate the average persons familiarity with my field. I know every person is now an expert in drug discovery and development. Especially adverse event reporting and interpretation.
I think this is the full segment:

Killtopia Phantoms #1 just showed up on my porch from @davecook.bsky.social
My family in Arkansas is in a similar boat. Like the housing stock there isn't that much newer and it's also expensive AF by Arkansas standards. I may have a bigger car but that doesn't seem that cool to people here because it's mostly used for a 1.5 hour commute that they absolutely dread.
This may be true in some places (Houston?) but where I live housing is expensive as fuck. Granted I live in the SF bay area. But if you want a 2br 2ba house with decent schools anywhere near where you work it's 1.2M easily. That's for a house built in 1950 to 1950 standards (e.g. no insulation)
It all started innocently enough and then when I built my own version of dropbox I thought to myself: I have so many services I need my own single sing on service. And then I built that as well (this is all true by the way). Behold, the pdf reader/tools I created: john.abumirchi.com/blog/2026-03...
The creepy Trump-as-Jesus picture Trump posted to Truth Social on 12 April 2026.
"Supposing we hit the body with a tremendous—whether it's ultraviolet or just very powerful light....Supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way....And then I see the disinfectant...by injection inside or almost a cleaning."
I'm Gen X and not republican. But don't plan on ever retiring so that may explain it.
But when I was making the composition portion I was like: You know what, I need vim mode. And I want to do formatting using markdown like issues pages on github. A couple hours later it was done. But most of that was robot time.
It's mostly me using somthing, thinking: OK it would be cool if it worked like this, and then describing it to claude. I built my own mail client that kind of works like gmail.
I've done so much more as well. If you can dream it and you're patient, you can have claude code build it.
It runs AI analysis on the text. I then takes 10 stills from the video and runs image analysis of that. Lastly it will take the audio from the video, and transcribe that. Then it takes all that text an summarizes it. It'll also attach the transcript to the card.
I've done a lot more since then. Over the weekend I implemented AI analysis of the cards using a local LLM. So if I save say a bluesky post with a video embed, it will download the entire post and if it's a thread, it will get those too.
I used to use a service called mymind. Then I used claude code to create a version of it to save web pages, posts, whatever. When it saves a web page it archives it. youtube video? it creates a local copy. So I have all this stuff and it's searchable.
I'm one of Swalwells constituents and I voted for him. After I read the Chronicle article I was done. No more excuses for these folks. I won't have a representative in congress until we have a special election, but that's fine.
That's the joke.
