I remember super vividly watching livestreams and live tweet threads of the 2020 protests, it made me even more radicalized because I saw secondhand what cops were doing to people at protests. I probably never would have seen it or seen a very filtered version without Twitter working how it used to

The main thing about Twitter that I love and has been completely fucked up by Elon and I hope Bluesky can have is finding out about big news stories often before they hit mainstream media, plus seeing people’s firsthand experiences at events etc
