Day 1 of snow cocoon has been awesome, this morning MIL took me shopping, bought me new clothes, I fetched ample grocery supply. Made a delicious roast beef dinner, did a few house chores today then watched classic Christmas movies with fireplace on. Kids are safe & loved. Wine for stepmom. 🍷

This is the CFLs failure for sure

Depends on your level of Fandom. I believe the average fan of the league has no problem but someone who has only a passing interest would not. I am a overall sports fan but would struggle to pick out an NBA or MLB star out of any lineup.

The truly sad part of this is that the Canadian league has such an amazing product to be marketed.

And this is the number 1 issue the CFL has IMHO

Same can be said of any league. Outside of a few "Stars" how many members of the KC Chiefs, Toronto Maple Leafs etc would you recognize on the street? From an average fans point of view.

I get the perspective from a coaching standpoint but from a business point of view these young men can be the stars you market your team around.

I'm hoping to make it the first Vanier Cup I attend in person.

I've been back and forth on that. As long as it doesn't get lost in the shadow. If done correctly it could really increase exposure and the profile of these amazing athletes!

Every year I watch the Vanier Cup and every year I wonder why the CFL feels like they need to reduce the ratio.

Can't wait for the CFLPA franchise report card to come out. Me thinks I know which team will be on the bottom. Wow!

I really enjoyed the Grey Cup half time show, and I think the Jonas Brothers are wicked talented. It’s ok to like many different kinds of music. If you need permission, there it is. Don’t be afraid to be content, or even, dare I say, entertained, by something out of your usual tastes.

Had a getaway in YYC; on way home now to watch Grey Cup, obvs. Here’s the moment Bruce Springsteen started playing my favourite. Snapchat froze for me, but this one moment says it all! I put my phone away and just cried and listened. 💜 Thank you for the magic life @rickycanuck.bsky.social

On this day, 6 years ago - the transformation for this ‘Toban-born woman into a SK Roughriders fan began when, on our 4th (I think?) date, the handsome decades-long season ticket holder and lifelong Rider fan Ric Bye (my husband, who isn’t on here yet!) took me to my 1st CFL game at Mosiac Stadium.

The best part of being extraordinarily ordinary is that I get to live life with this kind, funny, mostly normal, amazing, hard working human.
