We found that students may still face motivational interference after a year. Although students who experience higher motivational interference during studying would benefit from motivational regulation, they were less likely to do so in the following year. 😢

Using cross-lagged panel analysis, we examined how adolescents' experiences of motivational challenges are associated with their self-regulatory processes in two different contexts: during studying 📖 and leisure 🤳.
