WARNING: The Odditorium Carnival by Jeff Mach It's that time of year again when noted con-artist and sexual predator Jeff Mach tries to get a foothold in a new territory to run events. This summer he's trying to do business in the town of Ballston Spa, NY at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds (June 5-7). Apparently he takes New Yorkers for suckers because last year he ran his scams in the nearby town of Lake George, where he left thousands of dollars in unpaid bills to various local businesses. Before that he tried run his scam in Winchendon, Massachusetts under the business name Wyndonshire Faire. Long time readers may remember the grassroots effort to get that faire shut down because Jeff Mach swiped the county contract away from the original show runners so he could scam a whole new batch of people. The town administration had already issued a contract to him when they became aware of the sexual allegations against Mach, along with the trail of financial theft left behind him. The state of New Jersey was also notified of Mach's out of state government contract, because they very much would like the $893,523.29 he owes them. That event was successfully shut down, however it remains unknown if they recouped the money they had already paid Mach. I've only just started digging into this new event, however we do have some updates. The Saratoga County Fairgrounds has been made aware of Mach's history and is looking into the situation. My sources say a contract for the event has already been issued by the venue, however it has not yet been approved by the village administration of Ballston Spa who was only made aware of the problem today. The event is already listed as approved on the Fairgrounds website, and a separate website is set up and taking vendor money to reserve booth slots. Presumably this website is run by Mach, and TicketCandy is processing the payments. Ticket Candy has also been notified of the situation, however they have not yet responded.
