This is great journalism As more and more media are concentrated in the hands of a handful of oligarch jerks, Mother Jones is still doing hard hitting investigative work.

I support them and wish I could do much more.

Periodically I'll hear someone bang on that Trump's a man of the people.

This pampered billionaire obsesses about gold decorations, wants things named after him, and has never heard the phrase "corner store" before. He also thinks you have to show a govt ID to buy groceries.

Man of the people?

Giving Congress (well, a Subcommittee of a Committee at least) a piece of my mind

Just possibly, it wasn't a great idea to take a guy who hates and resents medical science, and put him in charge of the nation's health just because he's got a famous name and Trump liked the servile way Bobby endorsed him

Jon is absolutely right about this!

B of A is planning to force its customers into mandatory arbitration, a rigged system that would make it a lot easier for the Bank to break the law and get away with it.

But people can avoid this, and opt out, and they SHOULD.

No. The 2020 election was not rigged or stolen from Trump.

These lies aren’t just a tantrum because his ego is bruised from losing—they undermine our free & fair elections and are a threat to our democracy.

Oh, and didn't Fox News have to pay $787 million for spreading these lies?

I give blook at the Red Cross every eight weeks and I've never seen anyone descend from heaven with glowing hands, with angels in the background.

I feel sure I'd have remembered that.

Well, keep this in context. Generating a lie on the spot, when you're caught in the middle of an outrageous mistake, isn't always easy.

Well, grade him on a curve.

He may still be a complete diplomatic failure, but at least we don't keep seeing major world leaders dying a day after meeting with him, so he's making personal progress.

"So much winning"

This is beyond appalling. The gall and ego of this guy to claim to know that God loves him and his desires and hates his opponents. This isn't a new idea in human history, obviously, but this is as obviously ego-driven and self-serving as we've seen in a while.

I know Trump has shown no ability to ever stand up to Netanyahu about anything, but query if he would find the wherewithal to do so if it became too important to the stock market?

Very grateful to be given the chance to work on this courageous brief for @blumenthal.senate.gov and @schiff.senate.gov, and a larger bi-partisan group of current and former U.S. Senators.

More information about their brief is here: bergermontague.com/news/berger-...

This is a powerful statement, and it caused me to expand my contributions a little. This shows integrity, which shines out from all of your work.

With lots of help from sycophants around him, Trump thinks he can shape reality by insisting on what he wants. Lose an election? Your allies can keep saying you won, until your people believe it.

But Iran doesn't work for or worship him, he can't wish away inflation, he can't scare SCOTUS

How many times have we been "two weeks" from receiving a comprehensive health care plan?

Bondi should be asked questions about whether she's had discussions about a possible pardon.

I take your point, but on the other hand, she still may end up needing him for a pardon.

Did you notice that he also clearly includes Medicaid and Medicare in the category of "little scams," which are too expensive for the federal govt to fund, and should be left to the states? The whole 75 seconds are important statements of awful priorities, not just the headline.

Do these numbers make it less likely that Musk will get his crazy huge payday? I don't know the answer, but I think the company tried to give the impression that he only gets the bag if the company performs well. (That may be a misimpression)

Wow, I just listened to this. It seems obvious that he's describing MEDICAID and MEDICARE as "little scams," and that rather than the federal government paying for them, it has to do "one thing," and that is fund the military.

I can see why they deleted this video, wow.

Jeff Bezos' Editorial Board Calls Trump's AG Pick, Who Lobbied for Amazon, 'Qualified' The Washington Post's editorial board gave a thumbs up for Trump's attorney general pick Pam Bondi, who previously lobbi

Jeff Bezos' Washington Post editorial board endorsed Pam Bondi as a "qualified" and "serious" pick for Attorney General.

Nowhere in the endorsement did they mention that she's a former Amazon lobbyist.

Another reminder that billionaire control of our media is a threat to democracy.

When they value absolute loyalty over competence, you get people like Hegseth and lose people like this general.

We can all see the results in a war where they profess to have been surprised to see Gulf States bombed and the Strait closed.

To the extent that he's also angry that she's failing to put in jail people who criticized him at some point, won't future courts see this move as proof DOJ is becoming less lawyerly, less serious, and it will cause them to be LESS successful?
