I make a choice not to write in Japanese because I'm not fluent, and I want don't want to be misunderstood. I choose not to use AI translation to write for me for this reason. Maybe in the future I'll be able to write more, but until then I'll write in my main language for accuracy unless needed.

It's slow going, like a child reading a easy book, but I can read basic
Japanese without ever having studied it. Despite how dumb I think I am, I'm always reminded that I'm not.
