At yesterday's Emergency Preparedness and Protective Services Committee meeting, we recognized the 35-year career of Roger Chapman, Director of Ottawa Bylaw, a true gentleman and dedicated public servant to the people of Ottawa.
As the water levels along the Ottawa River rise, the City's Emergency Coordination Centre has been activated and is monitoring conditions closely. As a precaution, 15 sandbag filling stations are open across the city to help protect homes and properties if needed.
