Random thoughts on TFC: What might've been with Michael Bradley The former iconic captain helped transform Toronto FC into an MLS superpower. In a perfect world, he would still be at the club.

Some random thoughts I had on Toronto FC ahead of Saturday's home opener vs. the New York Red Bulls (1:00 p.m. ET/TSN & Apple TV).

Zane Monlouis ready to make up for lost time with Toronto FC The English defender is fully recovered after a lengthy injury layoff and is eager to get his MLS career fully on track with TFC.

It’s been far from smooth sailing for Zane Monlouis since he came to MLS.

TFC signed Monlouis last February from Arsenal on a two-year deal through 2026 with options for 2027 and 2028 in a move that gave the English defender an opportunity to finally kickstart his club career.

I don’t know how well it’s coming across on TV. But the amount of snow on the pitch at TD Place here in Ottawa is quite something.

Despite another playoff failure, TFC have faith in Robin Fraser GM Jason Hernandez was impressed with how Fraser walked into a tough situation at Toronto FC and handled things with aplomb.

In Robin Fraser’s first year in charge, Toronto posted a 6-14-14 record and collected 32 points as it finished 12th in the East in 2025. That’s actually worse than 2024 when TFC was 11th in the East with an 11-19-4 record and 37 points under John Herdman.

Canada shut out in road loss by Switzerland The Canadian women’s team came out on the wrong end of a very physical defeat against the Swiss in Lucerne on Friday.

Rather than raise the level, the Canadians maintained the status quo en route to losing consecutive matches for the first time since 2024 prior to Stoney’s appointment in January.

Transaction tracker: TFC declines option on Sean Johnson The veteran goalkeeper could still come back to Toronto FC in 2026 if he's signed to a new deal. If not, he'll become a free agent.

Thoughts on SJ at #TFCLive:

- Doesn't necessarily mean he won't return. Reds could still sign him to a cheaper deal.
- He's coming off his best year for TFC.
- If not re-signed, he'll be a free agent. Do they really let him walk away for nothing in return?
