Yes, I agree. But I would add that in the moment you have two polar opposites, you also have a pendular movement between them, that goes to one as forceful as it was launched from the other and slowly loses momentum over time (until been pushed again from one extreme). An so on and so on.

The tricky thing is that as far as a situation pulls towards one extreme, it is the force with which it then pulls towards the other, long before approaching the center. The center is no way near yet.
