Absolutely this. Some smaller programmes have already been dropped by Jisc (e.g. Lever Press) and we'd hate to see small, growing initiatives like ours be dropped from Jisc's LSM. This would cut off UK library participation in one go 🙃

Ha thanks Kevin, this is very sweet and thoughtful 😍 Been chatting to @kirahopkins.bsky.social this week on "would I want to be a WP Lead again?" 🤔Unsure- as with everything there are pros & cons but my main thought was how to fill in gaps in my knowledge in advance of any return to the colours!
I haven't been on Bsky for ages and then I log on to find all these lovely messages 😍 What did I do to deserve these, did I finally buy a round of drinks when I was drunk??
ooooh there's an idea - Graham, you fancy doing an update?? @graham-stone.bsky.social
Agree these are all questions that deserve exploration, altho whether "the dial" is moving/whether this sits alongside the status quo might not be mutually exclusive. If something is happening that wasn't before/not to this extent, it can be a significant development w/out displacing everything else
What a fantastic event to have been involved with!
Catch up with the session we curated - Where is collective funding for open access monographs going? - with @scholtom.bsky.social @kirahopkins.bsky.social @tweeterbarr.bsky.social @ceu-press.bsky.social
This is so great to see - OtF beginning to grow to include v small presses that looking for a route to sustainable/reliable #openaccess book publishing. Hope to see libraries get behind this if they can - increasing their own local collections while simultaneously funding OA. Hat tip @eve.gd!

Well done you lot, that's fab - here's to another 17 🍾
Thanks Christoph, yes sorry I meant if you knew why the OA version had gone. Have a copy of the T&F corporate explanation on the acquisition already, but thanks!
@christophsorg.bsky.social are you able to share any details on this, how you found out, why it happened etc? My colleagues and I at @copim.bsky.social are very interested in developments like this in schol comms, including researching an article on T&F's takeover of AUP.
I wonder what happened here then? Did T&F pull the plug on the official OA version? If so, how is that possible and for what reasons?
