I'm supposed to be at
Sweet Briar College, where I was so excited to meet with the amazing students, faculty, and staff who organized my visit & made Mobility their Common Read. Hours before my flight I learned about their Board's exclusion of trans & nonbinary people. So now I'm not going.

The tough thing about the job of parenting is the lack of commute. One second I’m dead asleep, the next second I’m playing firemen and I need to put out the fire, no over there, no YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG

The Medical Resident Leaves Her Husband by Margaret Adams “SPIKES is an acronym for presenting distressing information in an organized manner to patients and families.” – Clinical Journal of Oncology  S- Setting There is no guarantee of …

I have a flash fiction story out in @lostballoon.bsky.social, “The Medical Resident Leaves Her Husband.”

I continue to find dark humor in subverting medicine's clinical guidelines.

Thanks @chelsvoulgares.bsky.social and the Lost Balloon team for publishing this!

The #DelmarvaReview was my first #literarymagazine acceptance, and I cannot overstate how supportive they were. They introduced me to the idea of literary community and taught me what that looked like. Congratulations to the whole team on this gorgeous book!

The Delmarva Review has released their first anthology, The Best of Delmarva Review 2008-2023. Included are two of my pieces: “Nursing 101" (creative nonfiction, 2011), and “Undertow" (short story, 2013).
