Bright yellow bearded iris.

It’s a bright sunshiny day!

I have a bruise on the middle of my right forearm. It’s in the brown yellow stage. I keep scaring myself thinking it might be a big bug or something on my arm.

A clump of bearded iris in yellows and blues (which are actually purples, but you know how the bulb companies like to exaggerate).

These are the iris colors from the bulb company. The Merchant Marine and Easter Candy varieties show actual blue, where in real life they are purple. Sigh.

Can you figure out which varieties are blooming? I don't think the Neutron Dance variety has bloomed yet.

I just love how the nursery alters their photo colors to turn purple into blue. 🙄

Every year robotics has a safety animation competition. Teams do detailed stop motion, etc. this year an AI generated animation won, and lots of teams were angry.

Weve had one match where statbotics predicted 70% chanc of losing nut we won anyway. Other than that we’ve been losing the “alliance partner lottery “. Maybe tomorrow we will be luckier.

I have a student on my robotics team. I taught his father chemistry years ago. Some of my former students are already grandparents.

Oh, dear. Load-In is tomorrow and we have yet to get everything done. One student plans on spending 4th block (with his teacher permission) to work on the robot. But we're at the "I have to take it to tech/home to finish the part" before putting it on the bot. And hoppper? No motivation.

Sigh.

The Huntsville META Data Center has given our robotics team about $13 K per year the last few years, which has allowed us to travel to out of state competitions.

I'm SO conflicted about this! We need the $$ but I hate the source.

We compete this week and we have a driver who hasn't completed his required FIRST consent form. Hope they do get it signed because no signature is the reason why they couldn't compete with us last year.

I’ve been picking up fallen sticks from my yard & putting them at the end of the driveway for bulk trash pickup. Except someone in a blue SUV stopped, got an armful of them & tossed them in their car.

That’s a first. I just wish they had gotten the last pitiful branch laying there. But thanks!
