Breezed through Nemesis Games over the last week and I'm immediately hooked on The Expanse again. Really great read.
Desperate to avoid spoilers for the last 4 books, so I'm avoiding anything Osiris Reborn too.

Here's the video that influenced me!
I got mine from AliExpress for about ยฃ43 - feels like a bargain to me.
It's best to flash Crosspoint custom firmware, but that's super easy with a browser and a USB cable.
Syncs progress with my kindle using Koreader too!
Tiny e-reader that fits in my pocket
I picked up the 10 at launch, I wanted a smaller phone and Google offered crazy trade in for my Nothing Phone 2.
You're absolutely right that it isn't exciting in the slightest. Even less so with Niagara launcher forcing function over form. It does the job it needs to, so it's a win for me.
Yep I have done a lot of Searching up Wii U gamepads for sale just in case hahah
A view to a krill
Wow. Wow wow wow wow.
This is going to be incredible for Wii U, DS AND 3DS emulation!
Perfect media centre remote too. So many possibilities.

Oh and none of this cost me a single penny. FOSS devs are truly the shining light in today's AI driven technological hellscape.
I've enjoyed reading Project Hail Mary so much that I've learned how to set up a self-hosted Audiobook server, that syncs its progress with the Ebook on my jailbroken Kindle via a self-hosted Koreader stats app, just so that I can keep listening in the car...
Great choice, it's a shame the old Seiko 5 logo is gone now.
Real Rolex Explorer vibes
Woah.
All these products work better than the alternatives.
Tech companies have rebranded control as convenience, forced you to rely on that convenience, and then taken it away so that all that's left is reliance on their control.
I don't want to pay for that anymore.
My 3D printer is now controlled via a free, open source project called Octoprint
My Anbernic handheld runs Knulli, a free, open source custom firmware.
My Dell laptop that Microsoft decided last year was e-waste is given new life via Linux Mint.
Jellyfin has replaced all my media needs.
Most of the projects I've engaged with this year have revolved around free and open source projects running on hardware that allows it (or at least doesn't block it).
That's mostly been affordable Chinese hardware running community driven software that improves the experience.
I've been fascinated by this idea of tech you own vs tech that owns you ATM.
Using technology should be intentional, you should know what you're looking to do or get from it, not hope the right thing pops up.
No subscriptions, no AI, no algorithm driven feeds, no planned obsolescence.
I know I'm doing far too much with this, but I installed some hall effect joysticks in my Anbernic RG35xxH AND have set it to automatically back up all my save files to my home server so I can never lose my progress...
What a great little device, and Knulli is a fantastic project too.
Upgraded the triggers too ๐๐
I'll text you some photos and videos later mate, I think I've found the one
3D printed a couple of case/grip/shells for the Anbernic RG35XX H using different techniques.
You can get some really professional looking results if you intentionally make the print imperfect and fuzzy to cover up the actual imperfections. Big fan.
Why do people pretend like Ocarina of Time 3D never happened?
So it turns out there's a team still working on AM2R, and they have been secretly overhauling the visuals??? This looks incredible.
It seems like they need help though.

I don't know why it took me so long to grab an Anbernic handheld.
It's crazy the number of modern indies and ports you can run alongside retro stuff!
These things are designed to waste our time and grab our attention to show us ads, good for you!
I absolutely knew that Crimson Desert was too good to be true.
Been trying to reduce my screen time and distractions on my phone this past week, Niagara launcher has made it easier to be more deliberate and thoughtful.
I recorded my last episodes of Flipscreen Games and The Steam Deck Podcast this week.
I truly have nothing to say anymore that is of any interest to anyone, and no desire to try.
I need to focus on finding out who I am anymore, the last 18 months have been so difficult.
I designed and printed a magnetic mount for my Stream Deck Mini and some speaker risers/anglers.
Making your own custom-fit solutions to made-up problems is insanely addictive.
It felt like every time I wanted to do something that just worked on windows, I had to spend hours troubleshooting and trying different things to end up with a worse, jankier and unreliable result at the end!
I think the thing I liked most was the customisation and the lack of bloat, but that came at the cost of HDR, Sunshine virtual display, Stream Deck keyboard in shortcuts, plus a bunch of other stuff that kept breaking with every update
I was using Nobara on my Desktop for about a month, but I kept having to make compromises or just accept that I wouldn't be able to do certain things like I could on W11 (which sounds crazy considering it's meant to be the other way round) and I was working more than enjoying it!
