These folks have zero in common besides being somehow related to a STEM field, which is such a broad and meaningless correlation as to be pointless. I think the burden of proof lays with anyone suggesting that there is any connection at all between these various events.

-the scientists are in different fields, which means that statistically this is a tiny number among a pool of probably 10s-100s of 1000s of people
-a couple aren’t even scientists
-One is a genuine crank
-suicide is the most common issue, which again is statistically normal for a pool this size
