Trump's a wannabe king, not a strong leader. Meanwhile, Musk's on a crime spree. That they're acting so quickly with so much confusion shows they don't have widespread support. The legal system is (perhaps somewhat surprisingly) kicking in to stop most of this. So don't help them: Don't believe him!
It hasn't been Democrats vs. Republicans for a long while. It's corporatists vs oligarchs.
