This is gonna make the Spotify situation look like *nothing*by comparison.
Boycott the major labels.
Cancel your streaming subscription.
Hit ‘em where it matters.
Put that money into propping up independent artists/labels/scrne by buying and streaming on bandcamp
Fuck. These. Fucks.

I know I’m a bit late to this, but today I heard Mamdani is going to initiate L.A. Law, and his first term is going to consist of a mix of legal drama, social commentary, and character-driven storylines, often peppered with moments of dark or off-the-wall humor.
Normal subway things.
Message boards, non-algorithmic & interest-based platforms allow for that.
Moving into the holidays, and on into 2026, I’m gonna start giving *my* online attention to spaces like @record.club @letterboxd.social @serializdapp.bsky.social @codamusic.bsky.social & Goodreads instead ✨✨✨
The inverse relationship b/t high stim algorithmic “everything feeds” that require our constant attention & context switching to succeed—and our own collective mental health—is exhausting and has very clearly reached EOL.
We need to go back to low stim social and community spaces online…

Thx man :) yeah these Ressence faces look pretty incredible on the pixel watch. Rumor is they used the Ressence as inspiration for its design, so makes sense 😏
Said fuck you to the Apple Watch—and started teaching myself how to build watch faces for Wear OS this weekend :)
My first stab was recreating the Ressence Type 5BB for Pixel Watch 3, which is a PERFECT fit for the PW given the Ressence's influence on its design 🤩
Just found this old custom watch face concept I did back when the Apple Watch launched in 2015
…and the fact that Apple still hasn’t opened it up for 3rd party watch faces A DECADE LATER is a fucking travesty 😡🤬
*shame.gif*
I’m only like 1/4 of the way through—but this excerpt from Liz Pelly’s wonderful (and insanely timely) new book on Spotify is both one of the most disheartening and motivating things I’ve ever read on the stakes, and state of play, for where music culture as a whole is at in 2025.
Presented without comment.
Call me naive/idealistic—but instead everyone being so addicted to TikTok that they start using an app almost exclusively in Mandarin & start claiming to be ‘American TikTok refugees’ like fucking idiots
I wish it played out like the absolutely brilliant, eerily prescient ending of The Truman Show.
As incredible as #Nosferatu was—and I don't know how Eggers is gonna pull it off—I think the post-credit teaser was my favorite part 😱
Copped. Ty 🙏
First contact w/ the Lorre-Mill Double Knot
(run through a tapco 4400 spring reverb for a little extra sauce)
A tray of donuts covered in pink icing, sprinkles and topped with pink and blue candy

Stoked :) cheers, friend.
Yeah, same. Just followed em on bandcamp. Looking forward to the full record. Ty 🙏
Such a hauntingly somber, perfect song for this particular Saturday morning after the week that we’ve all just had 💔
Been on my list for a while…gonna finally watch today :) 🐈⬛
yeah that may help
i just wish there was some incentive for them to innovate and bring new/better ideas, and maybe a more informed approach to the table
i’m just afraid if all bluesky is doing is acting as a lifeboat for everyone jumping ship from everywhere else—they don't have any incentive to 🤦♀️
and it truly doesn’t feel like there’s a legitimate alternative anymore
every replacement that seems to pop up is just another also-ran, carbon copy of what’s come before
no new ideas…at all
and despite all of the data and studies and learnings—we’ve also apparently learned nothing
bounced from twitter/x…and now leaving threads/instagram/fb
i’ve also tried this place—but honestly not feeling it here *at all* either 🤦♀️
truly feels like we’re witnessing the actual, real life end of social media as we’ve known it for most of our adult lives
lol George gonna George 🙄
“Intelligence” lol 🙄
First episode of Skeleton Crew was *pitch perfect* :)
And surprisingly, while everyone’s been saying it’s Goonies meets Star Wars—tonally it feels much more like Joe Dante’s 1985 classic, Explorers.
