My kid's school program is having an online auction this weekend, there is some good stuff in here!

If you live in #Seattle, #Everett, #GreaterSeattleArea please consider checking it out! I'm offering to help drop off winner's items if needed.

Do you release transcripts for the podcast?

Now that Take it Down is signed-law, what else can the average or tech-inclined user do to continue pushing things in the right direction?

Even with all of this advanced AI these days, it still takes 30 mins to decide what to watch on Netflix.

I started reading @karenhao.bsky.social's book, Empire of AI, and I finally got around to watching her interview on Hard Fork.

She's well-spoken and has an important message to convey, and I can prove this: @kevinroose.com and @caseynewton.bsky.social give her plenty of room to speak! ๐Ÿ˜‰

What we really need is a built in automatic nose scratcher.

I'm first in line for the book at my library, looking forward to reading it!

I've never attended a book tour; do you do Q&A and autographs, or is there more?

I'm hoping to make the Seattle one.

Good to know. I went and tried to report the account and found some...interestingly sparse submission form. It looks like you report a profile/comment/video based on violating the Community Guidelines and not the ToS. The Guidelines have a ton of stuff listed in there, but here's the available form

To me, it seems like it's clearly misleading and impersonation which are both prohibited uses of Instagram per their ToS (4.2) help.instagram.com/581066165581...

Has Instagram been active in removing these accounts if they're reported?

How do we define or codify what "overuse" is? Maybe this is a question for psychologists. I see some benefit for giving people access to a sounding board or pseudo therapist that they might not otherwise have access to (cost, scheduling, unwillingness to be vulnerable in front of a human, etc).

This was the first webinar of @childrenandscreens.bsky.social I attended, and if they are all this good - then wow! It feels serendipitous to find this organization and webinar just last night. I found answers to questions I didn't even know I had, and came away with new things to consider.

A/B testing, iterative refinement, and similar approaches seem well-positioned to optimize for a particular model. I like the example here which could effectively use a two-instance approach, maybe supplemented with a standardized rubric: www.aiforeducation.io/prompts/crit...

I've been browsing prompt libraries looking for inspiration on strategies for setting boundaries around generative AI responses, but I haven't settled on a way to measure the effectiveness of those prompts especially when using them with multiple models.
