The intense magnetosphere of Jupiter is bombarding Europa with charged particles on the surface crust, ionizing the water into its base elements Hydrogen and Oxygen. This creates a gas cloud the shape of a donut in Europa's orbit around Jupiter. Oxygen would be key to life within Europa's ocean.

To further this, Europa's crust will occasionally reorient itself separate from the core due to the layer of ocean in between. Further cracking the crust.

While Europa contains water, an important ingredient for life; It is believed that beneath the frozen crust exists a warmer region within the moon capable of liquid water.
The the tidal flexing is causing such intense friction throughout the moon that enough heat would be produced.

Europa's Icy surface cracks when it receives Tidal flexing from the change in gravity from 2 nearby moons of Jupiter. Causing these long stretching streaks on the surface of the crust.

The reddish coloration is minerals rising from beneath Europa's crust.
