Trauma recovery asks us to accept ourselves more deeply than we're comfortable doing-- especially if we've spent years being told that what we look like, what we feel, what we want, and who we are is unacceptable.

Self-acceptance is gonna feel like a risk.

Take that risk.

Trauma Brain is always gonna err on the side of telling us we're "exaggerating," being "dramatic," or even "lying" about our experience & needs.

We could be gushing blood, physically or emotionally, & our trauma conditioning would sneer, "It's just a scratch, suck it up."
