I mean this in the most earnest way possible. If your points of reference for storytelling all come from cartoons I BEG you to read more books. There’s so much more variety out there, so much that hasn’t been distilled through 80 different hands & a single corporation’s S+P department.

above all else i want to tell amazing stories which is why i went the prose route to refine my craft but the moment i realized i rather have my stories be told visually while in college nonetheless well im freaking out haha

going from primarily being a prose writer to attempting to do comics is such a huge shift for me. i am familar with comics as i did joke comics since i was 9, but now that im starting to take them more seriously it's a whole other ballgame
