The new art book finally gives us official line art of the Core Gundam ii + earlier armors!
I've been calling this guy "Earthree Gundam ii" but we now have an official designation as "Core ii Earthree Gundam"
I remember people were speculating that Uraven was somehow based on the AGE 1 Glansa, which is quite funny cause it seems so clearly based on the G-fighter.
I think it's cool that since Uraven is the poster boy for S2, it was given the G-fighter colors. The Core Defenser adds more yellow & red so the color ratio feels more like the G-fighter.
And the new white & green chest for Core Gundam II matches the nose cone of the G-fighter.
Just wanted to see something...

I'm a big fan of her crash out in SEED ep 26 since she makes a ton of really well-drawn and interesting expressions.
Drawing May a lot means I usually work with a fairly limited facial expression range, so drawing Flay, who has a wide range in contrast, is a nice change of pace.

I tried studying cuts that I presume are mainly from Hisashi Hirai. They have so much control over the tiniest micro-expression. When I tried replicating, being one pixel off makes it look like a completely different expression. Hirai is crazy good.
I mean, for what it's worth, outside of Sekai, there's still a lot to like about TRY. 65% of Fumina and 90% Yuma are still very compelling imo.
I also think EP7 is also a really strong self-contained story, I made a thread a while back, breaking it down.

Yeah ngl I was really checked out by the end of Try, it was DBZ level beam struggles 90% of the time, especially in Island Wars.
I miss when BF used fun Gunpla tricks in battle, gluing the fists, Paint head vulcans to catch the clear funnels, popping ball joints back into place mid-battle etc

If the crazy stuff they were pulling off at the end of TRY was only National-level, I wonder what exactly a World-level gunpla battle would look like at this point.
Sei then upgraded it and hid it.
3 years later, Sekai used it at the Under-19 National Championships, where it needed to be upgraded to Try Burning to compete at National-level.
Which means the base Build Burning Sei used was now around Regional-level by BFT
At age 13, Sei Iori and Reiji won the 7th World Championships with the Star Build strike
At 17, Sei Iori used an unseen version of Build Burning Gundam at 11th Worlds, a gunpla that was outputting Build Knuckle-level attacks at base without the RG system.
Power creep in Build Fighters is kinda insane ngl.
What do you mean the Build Burning went from a World-level Gunpla to above Regional-Level in BFT.
