The pseudo scripts I'm talking about are not exactly like GDScript resources you have within Godot. They are semi-opaque to the Godot editor, because they are defined within a #Lisp runtime. But functional just as much as a regular scripts - that's the best part.

The recent discovery is: not only can I use Common Lisp to define new classes (e.g. scene nodes) within Godot interactively, I can also define pseudo scripts on Common Lisp side that can be attached to any existing node in Godot similar to GDScript ones. Mind blown how flexible #Godot 's API is.
Hey, I'll learn to use bsky threads - gimme some slack, I'm just starting my journey here 😅
Nonetheless, #Pozzo is already functional. A small teaser for Emacs-minded SLIME/SLY peeps. It's not much, but it's interactive, it's #Lisp, it's REPL and it drives #Godot instance.
Essentially, Pozzo is a low-level non-consing lispified interface to #Godot 's GDExtension API based on github.com/borodust/pz-... bindings for Common Lisp. It's in a very early stages of development, so don't get your hopes overly high.
I did a series of experiments and a proper #LibGodot integration into Common Lisp is absolutely feasible. You can tell #Godot wasn't necessarily designed to be a library, and I fully expect no one thought ever it's going to be used from Common Lisp REPL, so there are minor Godot patching needed.
I'm thoroughly amazed how flexible #Godot 4 is. The GDExtension API (and, by extension - see what I did? - Godot API), is just rich enough to support my beloved kind of development - REPL-driven and highly interactive one.
There was a huge push on github.com/borodust/claw project to get rid of custom LLVM build, but another thing completely took over my mind - Godot very recently (godotengine.org/releases/4.6/) introduced an official support of LibGodot feature. This is exactly my jam.
You probably know me for my Common Lisp gamedev work on foreign libraries integration into the ecosystem. And I'm still on it!
I should probably stop bothering my chat pals, cuz there's a much better platform to shout into the void!

Do you use my Redis rust crate? In particular do you use it with Valkey? Redis Inc. came knocking and I'm not sure what should be done here. I opened a GitHub issue if you have input. github.com/redis-rs/red...
