‘It’s out there’: Moe shopping mall an unlikely stage for a grand opera Usually, locals go this shopping centre to get their nails done or to buy some sushi. On Sunday, it was different.

We performed Gluck’s Orphée et Euridice in… a shopping mall??? (And Lisa Gerrard was there!?!?)

Team behind cult 2012 video game reunites on Grammy winner Art director Matt Nava and composer Austin Wintory reveal how their cult 2012 video game Journey shaped their latest offering, the Grammy Award-winning Sword of the Sea.

🗡️🌊 @mattnava.bsky.social and @awintory.bsky.social have a long career of collaboration, their two creative disciplines intertwined. I remember distinctly how exciting it was when Journey was nominated for a Grammy, and now Sword of the Sea is the latest winner.

Music stores should also have cats in them and sometimes the guitars will have cat scratches in them and that will be okay

The bassist who played on the Golden Girls theme was COOKING - the *Dun-Dun*, the descending scale, then doubling the melody and ending playing a power chord. 🔥🔥🔥

The algorithm over on Threads is wild. It’s tuned so tightly create disagreements.

It still takes months to prepare a role, even if you only get to perform it a couple of times.

Not to mention *gestures wildly at the opera industry as a whole*.

Timothée’s a little bit right though, yeah?

Musicals run for weeks, months, or years. In opera you get maybe four performances - if you’re lucky.

It would be nice to be working in a genre enough people were actually interested in seeing, so you could do more than a handful of shows.

Just watched the most recent #StarTrek episode ‘The Life of the Stars’. This one will surely go down as one of the great Star Trek episodes.

The performances by Holly Hunter, Kerrice Brooks and particularly Robert Picardo in this one are truly something special.

I swear the biggest tell of AI writing is the constant use of important sounding but meaningless phrases that go like:

Not X
Not Y

High Score 2025 - FMOD DEEP DIVE: Under the Hood: Technical Sound Design in Cozy Caravan YouTube video by VMDO

My and Aaron's High Score talk from last year is finally online 👀 It's a deep dive into the Cozy Caravan FMOD project, and turns out there's some wacky shit in there. Unfortunately the sound is via the PA not direct, but most of it still comes across pretty well www.youtube.com/watch?v=18CV...

I’m considering becoming *that person* who unwraps lollies in quiet moments at concerts. Does anyone know where I can source lollies wrapped in actual cellophane or is it better to DIY it and wrap my own?

So the credit card option on the KWS/Epic Games age verification platform that Blue Sky uses doesn't even work? It just comes up as declined for no reason. There's no way I'll be giving them my face or id scan, so I can't get to any DM's on here for now.
