why is the US exclusively run by grandpas with dementia and a sprinkle of pedophilia

if i had the gift of foresight i would perhaps not watch The Pitt right before seeing my local hospital getting absolutely hammered by the extreme weather
yuh i know, everything is just drilled into the side of a cliff in wellington, and these cliffs getting very landslide-y
i am mentally begging everyone to not have an accident 😂
and a bunch of other stuff and homes too which break your heart — but having recently been watching the Pitt, seeing the hospital flooding and the cars floating in the carpark reeeeally stressed me out 🥲
it’s absolutely wild! our main hospital (and carpark) also kinda just drowned
jesus christ in this weather??? 😂 poor tradies
(we’re fine!! really grateful to be ontop of a hill)
thas my road yup
just needed more excitement
No, not a river; it’s actually my road. Friend took this shot a lil down from me
The rain isn’t stopping; 3am was the heaviest rain I’ve ever experienced in welly.
if you’re in the area — i have heating, spare towels, dryers, bottled water, food, sandbags and tarps if you’re up shit creek!
stay safe, wellington — especially Brooklyn. Hate seeing my road and suburb on the news :(
found it really sad how much AI jane austen used 🥲
I was once catching up with a few people whose careers I respect to get some thoughts about what to do next and one of them said
"You know, your next thing doesn't have to be bigger than your last thing."
And it remains one of the most creatively freeing things I've ever heard.
when the gaba hits
the thing that i found incredible about him at the beginning of S1 was that despite clearly having a really shit day, he could code switch from room to room, deal with horrific shit, and still be a kind mentor
this season he’s all crispy round the edges, hate to see it
thanks for the heads up!
i was stressed as soon as i saw him riding in with no helmet
its so stereotypical i immediately knew where we were going with this😭
good things happen!!!
art needs spaces where it doesn’t also have to be a product, now more than ever. DELIGHTED
reminds me of tibbers’ arse in the riot lobby :)
i’m only on ep5 S2 so, spoiler alert, and please no spoilers beyond that pls 😂
but i’m assuming he acts more and more callous to staff and gets called out by whittaker (that would sting) or Dana and then either has a physical or mental crash/break
i’m late to The Pitt so only just started season 2, but
post-burn-out, dangerous-behaviour seeking dr robby is very uncomfortable to watch. So many echoes of myself right before the crash, but also so many friends whose personalities changed like that too.
incredible work, i fuckin hate it
loving the mixtape social content 💜

@dragonsnacksgames.bsky.social CCO Michelle Menard gave a wildly fun presentation on what does it mean to be successful at game development. Well worth a watch whether you are new to #gamedev or a veteran #indiegame creator: youtu.be/7GY26DDbXKo?...

i heard that there's now courses on how to write courses
my point is, you learn to make good games from the pile of data on mistakes, but people only look at what worked really well for the breakout titles.
So much to learn from near misses

can you imagine being the richest country in the world yet having worse healthcare rates than countries who frequently get bombed
