The Local Plan Hearings ended on 12 Nov after examining the Council’s “Blue & Green” Policies (BG1–BG13). Inspector Stephen Lee raised concerns about duplication and outlined next steps, including further actions and public consultation.

#Enfield's build-rate has been under 1,000 dwellings pa recently. It will be 10 years before current planning permissions are built + another 10 before other #brownfield sites have been used. There is no need to build on the #GreenBelt + it won't solve the housing crisis... (4/6)
There is huge amounts of #brownfield land in #Enfield lying idle, such as the Meridian Water development. London boroughs have already granted planning permission for almost 300,000 homes in London that are yet to be built. In Enfield that number is around 8,000-10,000... (3/6)
