I’d ask my many cis-gender friends and followers to take a moment today to consider this scenario.

You are so unhappy / uncomfortable with your birth sex that you choose to live as the opposite sex at the cost of family and other relationships.

Bit of perspective on today's immigration stats. An 18% increase in people seeking asylum still equates to roughly 0.1% of the population, not a lot, and a hell of a lot lower than quite a few countries. Also, small boats account for a third of those, so not a big issue either. 1/

Man sentenced as GMP secures biggest penalty in Bury domestic violence pilot scheme Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has secured the biggest penalty so far for the breach of a domestic abuse protection order (DAPO) as part of a pilot…

Just like much of the furore this week, here is an example of a law passed 4 years ago and the Tories did nothing with it. Within months of us being in power we delivered the scheme because we are about actual actions and real outcomes. They talked we walked. www.burytimes.co.uk/news/2484314...

Here in Cheshire, we’ve got an exceptional multi-agency team that are the best in the country. Great that Jess Phillips came to meet them. @cheshirepcc.bsky.social Dan Price is keen to support the changes Jess talks so passionately about.

John was our voice.

He made us feel we had a right to be in Westminster.

He was the first to give the North of England a political profile and paved the way for the devolution of powers to it.

He made politics real and lifted the lives of millions.

He was Our John.

RIP
