Maybe "Vampire Crawlers" (when it comes out) will be more up your alley? Loved the demo, it's very much Vampire Survivors (which has a strong "Eh, I can make this work" loop that I dug) but with cards. Never hurts to be on the lookout for certain power ups, but doesn't hurt if you can't find them.

Oh! And "Odd Taxi" has a great slice of life meets murder mystery story, but I'm only 3 eps in so no idea if it sticks the landing.

"Megalobox" if you want to see anime Rocky. "Great Pretender" is a fantastic conman show. "To Be Hero X" has some gorgeous multi-media animation and is a solid super hero drama. "Dan Da Dan" is incredible over the top action/teen romance. It's ongoing, so no idea when it'll end, but still worth it.

I liked that one. The auto scrolling one's physically hurt my hand after each attempt, so floating was a nice change lol.

Absolum isn't just the best demo on Steam, it's one of my favorite things I've played in 2025 The best game of Steam Next Fest is a roguelike beat 'em up.

Big agree with this article. Absolum went from "Oh, that's neat" to a day 1 but after playing the demo. Really worth checking out.
