an underrated game dev skill IMO is being able to realize “this person and I have been discussing (thing) for months, and yet i think we have slightly different versions of (thing) in our heads. let’s get together and talk about that in excruciating detail”

U.S. Supreme Court won’t hear 'Stroble' Oklahoma income tax case The U.S. Supreme Court declined to review Stroble v. Oklahoma Monday. The decision likely means tribal citizens will need to continue paying state income tax.

Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear tribal citizens’ appeal, leaving Oklahoma’s taxation scheme in place. www.kosu.org/scotus-decli...

I still want them to get Frances Densmore’s entire collection of indigenous recorded music (and for me, specifically Winnebago/Ho-Chunk) recorded to high quality digital and given ease of public or tribal access.

People really just need to grapple with the fact that the vast majority of "two-staters" are, literally, lying.

Anyone can become disabled.

Disability is not a moral failing. It’s not something that only happens to people who did “something wrong”.

It’s not an anomaly.

Most people will experience disability at some point in their lives.

Helping us fight for better support benefits everyone.

Trump has called for elimination of funding for the Institute of American Indian Art (IAIA) from $13.5 million to zero. We need our storytellers and artists to elevate our stories, to continue our traditions, & to lift our spirits. Please make some calls!

Three sisters, a silver moon…

A dusk lily dancing with dawn…

A well of darkness opened, the Eternal Sun still guides us.

I wonder what the Darkmoon Faire will be like.

Come Midnight, let’s disperse this petty rabble.

I’m sorry your joke venture bombed; have you tried making some of your jokes or puns even? You know what they say: When one door closes, opportunity knock-knocks!

Hey, everyone. I was unfortunately impacted by today’s RiF at my account. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute to the joke.

I’m now searching for my next joke. If anyone has any leads on upcoming jokes, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you.

It’s also shortsighted about how publishers will try to forego hiring actual narrative designers because they think a system like this is enough.

composite image of a greater whole concept for the story, as independent choices deterministically usurp story cycles or stories dependent on fated outcomes.

I also think that for many players, procedurally generated stories abandon the notion that there must be something gained or worth knowing

It is a good way to lay out procedural choices that require the intrinsic interpretation of the actions being read by the player, especially when the consequences of such choices are not immediately apparent.

It also doesn’t work for frame stories that create a wreath of narrative to form a

So… I kinda understand what they are saying, but it is not wholistic & can be flawed. It works for settings where the self-image of the player is entirely independent of the prerequisite state of the game’s internal narrative (i.e., works for <player> but not for <Booker DeWitt, written character>)

Alliance players yearn for benefits of land ownership*, and the evils of land ownership are made into the Horde conquest narrative (and toxic horde players embrace the whole of it)

I am “independent” in a way; a native democrat that has felt perpetually disenfranchised by the Democratic Party for failing to embrace a young, more progressive coalition based on economics and social & environmental justice within the party— and one based on human rights in international law.

Too narrow a string. When you go towards the center, it becomes more establishment, and the hegemon is more clearly defined. When you extend into the wings of each side, there’s a lot more diversity and contrast of ideological thinking— fringe at times, yes, but much easier to extend a wider tent.

Or maybe it’s calling a spade a spade. From my understanding, Harris was more ready to coalition with Liz Cheney than Black & Indigenous progressives in the Midwest.

Centrist dems in the party are conservative in their approach to politics. They are, at times, the center-right, and rarely they have thought to swing towards the core or even far left. Leadership has become too exclusive based on their own perceptions of the political agency of candidates.

You also admitted that the Senste Dems have stalled to perform optimally.

This, combined with the conservative restraint in their messaging shows they are playing to centrism which is failing to appeal to the Left Wing.

A lot of disinvolved people are seeking a party that can actually deliver on policies about the social good (e.g., Mamdani)

Progressives have cooperated with the center-left since 2016. We got Joe Biden in office. We got Pelosi as speaker. Kamala’s campaign was a mess and a majority of us still showed up to vote.
