An "extraordinarily brilliant person" might understand how vote-counting works. Small rural counties are generally first to complete their counts and release numbers, because - duh! - they have fewer votes to count. Smaller rural counties are more likely to trend conservative.

I like that! I've always described it as "a fox eating shit out of a wire brush," but he does look more bulldog-ish. French bulldog-ish.
Agreed. This is my 5th Subaru, but I *really* wish I'd looked at the Ionic.
It's my one regret about buying my Solterra. I like the car, and for around town (which is 90% of our driving), it's absolutely great. But for longer trips, I have charging anxiety, because it doesn't have the best range and it charges slowly. I'm a Subaru loyalist, but this is more of a Toyota.
100% accurate. I used to audition for a lot of small films locally, and it's amazing how many of the audition notices call for "man, 20-25, and a woman, 35, to play his mother." *eyeroll*
If she finds Nosferatu attractive enough to marry, then her tastes and mine clearly do not coincide.
My ex-husband was the last keeper there (he also served as keeper at the Alki Point lighthouse). Neither has human keepers anymore: they're fully automated now. :-(
Mostly, I don't notice one way or the other, until we get a gorgeous day like the one in the photo. Then I take full advantage. But the cloudy days don't bother me at all (I'm a Seattle native, have lived here my whole life).
My ex-husband was actually the last human lighthouse keeper there when he was in the Coast Guard.
I find it ironic that an AI-generated video has an Unwaste the Planet logo on the bottom.
well, he'd know, I guess
hey, that ketamine doesn't buy itself, ya know
TIA's would be my guess.
"Look, I really appreciate this Edward R. Murrow's efforts and all, but he just doesn't understand news broadcasting."
actually, I think the network heads actually SAID that at the time, when he was the only person sounding the alarm about McCarthyism
The Little Blood Clot That Could.
That sucks so hard! I nearly got run over in a crosswalk yesterday - had the walk light, but a driver turned right without looking and nearly got me. Luckily, I was watching them closely, and I *barely* managed to skitter out of the way, by pushing off their front fender. Hope you're okay!
You can suffer a contrecoup injury even if your head wasn't directly impacted, from the sudden deceleration. Your brain keeps going the original speed until it is abruptly stopped by your skull. This can result in a concussion, so you definitely need to be checked out.
pretty sure this is AI slop someone on Emperor Palpatine's staff whipped up to keep the baby quiet
very underrated comment
he's always been trash
I want booth review available for all plays, the way they were doing it in the XFL. It worked fine, didn't delay the games unnecessarily, and really prevented a lot of egregiously horrific officiating mistakes.
I hope Iran knows that this will go down on their Permanent Record. So they just better not be, or he's gonna tell on them!
President Camacho in Idiocracy is not supposed to be an aspirational figure.
*boom-tiss!*
"He was a bit ... bitey."
That might be the best typo of the day. "ejected Dems"
:D
Methinks it's time for found object Jesse Watters to go back to the important issues, like whether using a straw to drink a beverage makes a man gay.
One of the original DJs from KJET has a Facebook group for the station for us old farts, even.
We had KJET here in Seattle, which is where I heard all those bands for the first time. Not a college station, just a small end-of-the-dial AM station playing music you didn't hear on other stations.
have his pants caught fire yet?
Wasn't somebody supposed to be passing out the dixie cups of kool-aid at this?
