Tomorrow’s front page of the @liverpoolecho.co.uk on a momentous day
This was the emotional moment that Prime Minister Keir Starmer welcomed families of those who died in the Hillsborough disaster to 10 Downing Street on the day a law in their name will be introduced to Parliament
It was a pleasure to attend the launch of @sharedhealthgm.bsky.social’s report on children living in TA.
With over 164,000 children currently suffering homelessness we need urgent action. No child should be left without safe, healthy and secure housing.

As co-chair for the APPG for Ending Homelessness we have spent the past 6 months holding roundtables and speaking to sector experts, including lived experience experts, about what the government must do to finally tackle the homelessness crisis.

Recognition for the RRC as well as members Shelter and Generation Rent from @paulabarkermp.bsky.social who is bringing key amendments to the bill, including a cap on rent rises.
As Paula says, as a country we must return to this in future - without action, affordability will only worsen.
I support the National Housing Federation’s campaign for more social homes.
With a spiralling homelessness and housing crisis, including 160,000 children currently in Temporary Accommodation, we need immediate and bold action.

This Labour Government is ending no fault evictions for good!
I am proud our Labour Government are standing up for renters where the Tories failed.
Sadly ballooning rents in the private rented sector is still a barrier & can even lead to economic evictions. Which is why I’ve laid a rent stabilisation amendment to the Renters’ Reform Bill.
