Zenkaiger halfway point trip report: the show is fun but I'm mostly invested in Stacey's quest to get both of Kaito's moms for himself (not, like, in a evil way, but in a "born to go clubbing, forced to be a child soldier" kind of way)

I mean it IS super cool and I love that for him I hope he got to name it himself because clearly he hasn't had a lot of agency over his life

Also I have a deep affection for watching people in spandex pretending to fight each other in parks and other public areas with terrible cgi so it's like this whole genre was made for me

my first one was donbrothers which felt more like a religious experience than a kid's show so sadly my expectations are sky high now
