My father died today at age 79. He had been living with Progressive supranuclear palsy for over five years and he reached the conclusion today. Even with the "long goodbye" of dementia and decline, the final goodbye is a blow, to lose a man who has always been there for me; now all of him is gone.

I have had a 15% drop in my IRA over where it was two weeks ago, and I can't stomach to look at how bad-off other investment accounts are.

Indicators show that the Dow, S&P, and NASDAQ will open with 4-5% drops tomorrow after pre-market trading.

Dow Jones -5.5%, S&P -5.8%, NASDAQ -6%

Dow -4%, S&P 500 -4.5%, NASDAQ -5% after two hours of trading.

Dow Jones S&P 500, and NASDAQ opened with 3% drops in each.

I got a bit choked up and embarrassed for how terribly the U.S. is treating those who have trusted us. My brief new friend Alan from Alberta, first shook my hand and the gave me a hug. It will not help relations overall, but at least a little positive sentiment out there.(4/4)

I said that the U.S. is doing lasting damage to allies by treating friends terribly. He let me know he had fought alongside Americans in Afghanistan. I said that I was sorry for the U.S. and that the terrible way that DJT is treating Canada and other allies is not what the U.S. wants.(3/n)

He asked what I thought of the U.S. political climate. I said that the U.S. is in a terrible position, and is alienating allies. U.S. and Canadian soldiers are buried in the same cemeteries from fighting side-by-side. My state's largest international trade partner is Canada.(2/n)
