Yes indeed! I'll be able to get everything on a single wall, and won't have to stoop to avoid a low ceiling :-)
I'm old enough to remember the screaming over bailing out Chrysler.
And yet here we are, bailing out a struggling airline because rising fuel prices caused by Trump's stupidity pushed them over the edge.
No money for veterans, Medicaid, SNAP or any of dozens of other programs, but plenty of money to bail out petrostates that Trump likes.

I very much agree.
What my wife and I saw when we were there was proof that a system which balances capitalism and social responsibility is possible. But to your point, it requires a cultural shift in thinking from what is typical -- especially in the USA.
It's a goal worth pursuing.
"The success of the Nordic model isn't just about high taxes funding a safety net. Itโs about a cultural software that views trust as an asset and long-termism as a fiduciary duty." -- Sophia Ware
Visiting Denmark changed the way I think about capitalism; this essay puts that into words far better than I can.
"...a system based on trust, care, and circularity is not a utopian fantasyโit is a working prototype."

Looks like there's a new studio space coming later this year. Moving out of the "trash trailer" (stripped fifth-wheel trailer) into a new building on the property. Woot!

The phaseout is expected to be completed before autumn 2026.

Wait just one damn minute....I thought Trump said the UAE was investing in the USA to the tune of $1.4 trillion. Now they need a bailout?

My father has a huge collection of slides from the southwest deserts of the USA; going to be using that as grist for the music and video mill later this year.
Lamarr co-invented frequency hopping in 1941. We still use it today for WiFi, Bluetooth and a bunch of other RF data communications tech.

I now refer to the cats as the "corridor crew" after the gents on a YT channel (special effects artists).
Think I need to leave MIDI capture on when I leave the studio to hit the bathroom, just to see what the cats did during my absence (the trailer I have the studio in doesn't have anything but bare walls).
"They went door-to-door to tell their neighbors what the city had not told them: The data center would use twice as much electricity as all of Monterey Park."
The cityโs notification in English reached only 40 people living within 500 feet. Activists worked in English, Chinese, Spanish & more!

Meanwhile, Trump will claim that gas prices will fall like a rock in two weeks.
"The Pentagon assessment, shared in a classified briefing for lawmakers, suggests gasoline and oil prices could remain elevated through the midterm elections."

There will come a point when the rest of the world finally loses all patience with the USA, and it won't be pretty.

Self-centered corrupt asshole is upset that another country doesn't like being insulted.
Trump also claimed in the 1980's that he could resolve the whole nuclear arms problem because he knew all there was to know about nuclear missles.
I have sinned again....another idea reared its head in the dead of night ๐คฃ
Clear-eyed assessment is not something you'll get out of the US press. You can get it elsewhere, though.

I am fascinated by the interplay between parties in a system where more than two or three players of consequence exist. I wish we had that in the USA.
