Like if you wanted grungy rock music there are plenty of other examples you can use other than the ones talking about politics. It just seems like you’re watering down the message of the song and just see it as “entertainment” for your movie.

I said that I would go anime only for this one. This anime is amazing and I love all the world building and the character dynamics!!I so relate to the main character and her urge to learn for magic (flash back to all of the times I tried to turn myself into a mermaid by watching-

Despite having way more problematic elements than Nakamura, Horokoshi doesn't get nearly as much harassment or ridicule from the audience for that bc his work doesn't target towards women/queer people so it's really ODD that you would compare the two like that.

I'm sorry but the situation regarding Syundei sensei and Horokoshi sensei are not comparable. Syundei sensei got actual harassment because of people shaming queer works more than straight ones while what happened with Horokoshi sensei was a rumor at best and just plain criticims at worst.

i hate how we only care about the well being of creators until after the worst case scenarios get played out

silence while people are being harassed only leads the person to feeling unsupported

imagine if this energy was directed towards the millionaires and politicians killing your neighbors right now instead of random mangaka

One Piece and MHA. People are clearly more harsh on queer works when it comes to 'problematic elements' in stories but brush off these elements when it comes to works that aren't targeted towards queer people.

I feel kinda torn when it comes to Syundei-sensei situation. I think it's fine to voice your criticims to an author but I think people just took it too far and are clearly having this weird double standard where they harass a BL author for having 'problematic elements' in their work but still read-
