🐛 Found a fun bug today: switching weapons broke my emote bubble.
The player sprite was being swapped, but the emote still followed the old one.
Simple fix: follow a function, not a sprite.

Ha!, this is awesome! Love it.
I’ve been developing software for 28 years — mostly backend systems, some UI — but I’d never built a game before. Then one day my son, fresh out of high school, came to me with hand-drawn maps and a story about an orphan in ancient Greece on a quest to save his quiet home. He didn’t know how to code, but he asked if I could help him build it. I didn’t know much about game development either — but I decided to learn. After months of experimenting, failing, and rebuilding, we got a prototype running. Eight months later, we’ve built multiple levels, a full story, and a working world — Nikias and the Fall of Olympus. A father-son adventure — both on screen and off.

Interesting game idea. Looks pretty cool!
The first time I saw Super Mario Bros. on the NES, I was in awe. Coming from the Atari 2600, the graphics and sound felt unreal. Then The Legend of Zelda came along—an open world to explore. I was hooked.
The Atari 800 was my first computer and it's how I learned to program. So many fond memories. Thanks for the nostalgia!
Over the course of its seven-year development, Basso was encouraged several times to just release Animal Well as it was at the time. (Famously always a great idea to launch video games before developers feel they're done) www.wired.com/story/billy-...
These maps are gorgeous. Nice work!
